Okay, so I've been bemoaning the fact - for a week now - that I failed to get photos of CookieCon's Instructors' Choice winners. My bad - but between manning my booth and trying to jam in as many CookieCon video interviews as possible, I simply couldn't be in two places at one time. (Next time, remind me to bring my cloning machine, or at the very least, a professional photographer and videographer!)
Anyway, as you may know, last week's Spotlight featured the winners of CookieCon's Sugar Show in five different pre-announced categories. But, as you may or may not know, each of the six CookieCon instructors was also asked to select her personal favorite from the show. These cookies were nothing short of fabulous too. Thus, all of the kicking of myself for failing to capture them on film . . .
Thankfully, Karen and Mike, our gracious CookieCon organizers, came to my rescue before too many bruises were self-inflicted. Mike, still recovering from minor post-CookieCon surgery, didn't skip a beat yesterday when he got my email begging for photos; he just said "no problem" and promptly extracted every image from their awards banquet presentation for me! (For that gesture of can-do spirit, the least I can do is plug his ever-so-genius Notta Cookie again. Don't know what I'm talking about? Then stop everything and click here.)
(Fantastic idea, eh?) But back to where I left off . . . those Instructors' Choice winners.
You know, on second thought, maybe the week delay in featuring them isn't such a bad thing. As gorgeous as they are, they certainly deserve their own special moment in the limelight!
