It's that time of year when many of us cling to the last lazy days of our summer routine while simultaneously longing for the thrill of change signaled by the coming of fall. I'm no exception. I hate to see my garden flowers beginning to fade, but I definitely smiled when I stepped out the door today and detected a faint bit of crispness in the air!
And how does being in between seasons translate into cookies, you might ask? Well, from what I've seen over my Cookie Connection years, it results in a similar indecisiveness about cookie themes. Some cookiers continue to post beautiful beach scenes and sea shells to the site, while others are making their first forays into pumpkins and fall leaves. Meanwhile, many others don't seem to know which way to go, so they're sticking with season-less sets such as birthdays, baby showers, and weddings.
But, no matter the direction taken this week, one thing is clear: you all did it again! From red sea shells in Mason jars to 3-D woodland sets, every cookie on our hot list* is a stand-out!
