Today is four days before my lumpectomy surgery. I'll most likely be fine. I have the best possible cancer, found as early as it could be found. But it still weighs heavy on my mind. I found myself dreaming of cookie ideas with nervous energy and decided maybe my ideas were a gift (to help me through this time of waiting). So I baked...and made cookies. If you think of me on Tuesday, feel free to pray. These are the visions that danced through my unsettled mind. A few weeks ago, I saw a fondant shaping set of plungers on fb and tagged my husband, evidently a friend noticed and knowing I had some health issues, messaged him not to get the set, and she bought it for me. So this garden is made up of pink (vanilla flavored) wafer paper (I won from a previous PBP challange) cut into various shapes and put together with fondant layers (shaped by my friend's gift) all hand painted. White wafer paper was painted for the daisies in a sort of pen and ink look. Super fun set (and very therapeutic). I hope you enjoy!

Thank you, Zara! <3 You're very kind. I'm so glad you like them.

Awww, Kim ❤️! You know, there are many natural protocols you could use for support. Here's the most comprehensive list I know of: https://www.cancertutor.com/category/protocols/. I really love the Johanna Budwig one, because it's also very delicious .

But for me the most important thing one can do when I'll, is to try to truly love one's body... Where there is true love, fear cannot enter. Fear destroys, but love heals. So I'm sending you tons of ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️!

Oh, and your cookies are fabulous, total eye pleasers!

Thanks so much, Ryoko! <3

Kim, I had no idea, you had some serious health issues right now.  You will definitely be in my prayers.  For one with a heavy heart and mind, these are some seriously beautiful, bright, and cheerful cookies!  May all of that positive energy return to you this week as you undergo surgery and recovery.  xoxox

Thank you hun! xoxo

I slept in (almost as a kindness to Tim) because he covered my shift this am and wants me to take one more down day, praise the Lord my right arm suffered no ill effects, so no PT needed and I feel strong.

The pain is totally minimal right now! Mostly my throat from the breathing tube and my left hand from the IV site.

And I had 6 friends who were on staff and on duty when I was at hospital! One in the hall on the way up, one check in, one in radiology, and 2 as my main nurses and one in the OR (who excused himself after saying "hi" so it would not be awkward at church).

Isn't God cool.

Praise Him for his sweetness! And thank you for praying. <3
