It took me six tries to get this right. The first time, I piped the grid two rows too short each way and had to start over. The second time, I made a noticeable mistake and also, I wasn't crazy about the border design. The third time, I piped the grid one row too short each way. The fourth time, I made a noticeable mistake and again wasn't crazy about the revised border design. The fifth time, I piped everything perfectly, but I made my grey icing far too dark and my cookie just looked dirty. The final time is what you see here. This cookie is approximately 8 3/4" x 6" (22 x 15cm) or 97 x 65 rows (6305 dots) and took 2 full days to create.

The interlocking design is from a picture I found online but I could not find the originator of the pattern.

I don't know how you do it Christine!!!  This is just stunning.  You are an expert on this technique.  I've never seen work like yours before with such precision.  Just beautiful.  LOVE the colors.

Thank you, Diane ❤️❤️❤️

Ah Christine, I knew this was your work from the small avatar of today's hottest cookies . Your style is unmistakeable and always so beautifully perfect . One of these days I'm going to try this style of decorating...again! My first foray didn't fare so well and I was very discouraged. I looks so easy when you do it. HaHa . You know what they say, anyone who is exceptional at something makes it look easy. That certainly fits you my dear!!

This is a beautiful cookie design and i love the colors .
