Say Hello to Our May Site Artists!

Julia M. Usher
Yes, you saw that right! We've got not just one, but TWO cookie artists who will be sharing our banner and backdrop in the month of May. You might call it a delicious double feature! As you'll soon see, both artists' site submissions* are bolder than bold, with super-saturated colors that will knock your socks off. Yet, their color palettes and themes are completely different. (Though, even with these differences, one could argue that they're a match made in heaven - after all, who wouldn't...Read More...

How to Edit or Delete Your Own Content

Julia M. Usher
Hi, all, I've been receiving an unusually large number of questions about how members can edit or delete their own content. It's super important for you to know how to do this, as I typically do not edit posts for people, unless I happen to see a misclassified image or other typo. It can also take me several hours to days to respond to site inquiries like this, as I work several other jobs. That being said, your surest bet for getting a quick answer is to familiarize yourself with our site...Read More...

Important Reminder about Copying and Posting Characters without Permission

Julia M. Usher
Hi, all, regrettably, I've recently had to delete some images from challenges and other areas of the site due to lack of compliance with Rule #8 of our posting guidelines, which states that artwork (including characters, from Disney, Hasbro, etc.) cannot be copied and posted here without permission from the creator : http://cookieconnection.juliau...READ-BEFORE-YOU-POST In response to those deletions, some members have asked me why so many licensed character cookies exist on the site,...Read More...

How to Travel with 3-D Name Cookies

Dena's Sweet Delights
Hi, everyone, I have a customer who ordered 3-D name cookies (like the image below, embellishments and all). I've done this before for a customer who was not traveling far. However, this client wants the cookies the night before she travels 50+ miles by car to a wedding. My concern is that they risk breaking while she is en route or the letters separate for some reason. Does anyone have any idea on a way to pack these to ensure they arrive to the site in one piece? Any help is much appreciated!Read More...

Best Shipping Service for Insurance Claims?

Hello! I have been making decorated cookies for over a year, shipping about a third of them. One particular repeat customer has ordered six times in that period and two of her orders have arrived with damaged cookies (no other customers have reported damage). The first order's shipping and insurance was purchased through Etsy, and USPS paid the claim with no issues; the second was through Shipsaver and they want to close my case because they consider cookies to be an excluded item, so I'm...Read More...

Where to Find Nice Cookie Boxes in Canada?

Hi, folks! I've searched the forums and didn't really see anything on this topic, so I'm hoping some fellow Canadian cookie decorators can help me out! I am looking for some nice looking, windowed, cookie boxes. I love the BRP Box Shop boxes, but the shipping to my location is almost double the cost of the boxes themselves. I am currently using pie boxes from Bulk Barn but they are often too small and do not have a window. Any suggestions? I'm open to ordering online as long as the shipping...Read More...

Adhering Cookies to Grease-Resistant Cookie Cards

My sister and I are preparing for our first big event. We want to offer some themed cookie packages which would contain 2 or 3 cookies packaged together. I have read about the grease-resistant cookie cards that are sold by BRP. Is it possible to adhere cookies to these cards so they won't move around by using royal icing like glue? Thanks, KateRead More...

Customer Received Broken Cookies!

Hi, ladies, I wonder if I can ask for some advice? I am a home cookie business from the UK, and have today received an email from a customer from the USA whose order arrived and 6 out of 28 cookies are broken! She has sent me photos. This is the first time this has happened to me. I packed the box very carefully inside another box with several layers of bubble wrap. I am really shocked that so many were broken. The customer is demanding that I send her replacements. How do I handle this...Read More...
