Hey, everyone! My name is JoAnn and I live in Southern CA. I caught the cookie decorating bug last Christmas when I made gingerbread cookies and was not satisfied with just icing them with pre-made royal icing in the tube. So I signed up for a beginners decorating class with some friends and I am hooked! I am still in the beginning stages compared to cookies on this site, but love it so much and have regular orders from family, friends, and coworkers. I am a teacher and started out by experimenting on my students (who are always happy to see and taste my practicing!), gave some away in the teacher's lounge, then made a few samples just prior to Mother's Day and now I have regular orders! I joined the Stencil of the Month Club and got the first two stencils and just stared at them in awe, thinking I could never do that kind of work. But thanks to Julia's video tutorials, I recently made and sold cookies using a combination of stencils from her site. I am so happy! Thank you for all of the inspiration from so many talented people! I look forward to improving my skills!
