Hi! So sorry for the unannounced site downtime yesterday - it surprised me too!
Background: The site has become so busy that it has been putting large resource demands on the shared server on which it currently sits. Two days ago, I got an urgent notice from my site server (Site5, on which the Cookie Connection subdomain exists) that I needed to optimize resource use (a long, complicated process) or the site would be immediately migrated to a new, dedicated server, with the risk of an interruption in service while I was away.
Long story short: My web team and I hustled to optimize a few things, but in that process, we inadvertently caused the "communication" between Site5 and Hoop.la to be broken, and the site went down. (It was still up and saved elsewhere, you just couldn't find the URL.)
Anyway, perhaps TMI, but it's up now - though heads up, the optimization process has not been finished, and we may still need to move the site to a new server, which may mean more downtime between now and early October.
My sincere hope is that I will be able to give you some notice next time. Again, my apologies and many thanks for your patience.
