Feature in Torty od Mamy

Hi, just a little news from my neck of the woods . . . I am proud to have been featured today in the March 2017 issue of the leading cake/sweets decorating magazine in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, Torty od Mamy. My feature consists of a three-page spread, where I answer 14 questions about my background in and approach to cookie decorating. The issue is now available for sale here, and below is an excerpt. If you don't speak Czech or Slovak, no worries - I've attached my original English version of the interview in a pdf below.

I loved what you said about no decorated cookie is perfect.  As a decorator it is easy to beat myself about my flaws, or just learn to accept that flaws happen.  Reality is people rarely see the mistakes and don't care about them.  It's more important to have fun making your creation.

Agree - cookie decorating is the art of masking errors, as I often tell my students when errors pop up!

i agree, but sometimes covering them up makes it worse.  I'm learning that I have to accept them and move on.
