Lucky us! In the month of May, we're continuing our live chat series with CookieCon 2017 instructors, and we've got another wonderful featured guest for you: Teri Lewis of @tweets...cookie connection (completely unrelated to this Cookie Connection, BTW)!

Though I was first dazzled by Teri's signature sparkly cookies at the CookieCon premiere some three or four years ago, Teri's medium at CookieCon 2017 was chocolate! There, she explored how to make dimensional elements with both modeling chocolate and the regular melted variety!

In our chat on May 20 (10 am central time), you'll have a chance to explore the marriage of chocolate and cookies with Teri, as well as learn more about her business and other signature decorating methods! In the meantime, check out her bio (below), her Facebook page, her site (currently under redevelopment), and her profile right here on Cookie Connection!

Teri Lewis has always been one of those artsy girls with a passion for whimsical design, painting, doodling, and playing with people. After college, she married her longtime sweetheart and opted for a stay-at-home mom/entrepreneur gig! For the next 20 years, she contracted her faux painting and floral design skills to the interior design community in Denver, Colorado, USA, where she lives. As an active volunteer and busy mom of two, Teri soon became known as "the cookie mom" by baking cutesy sugar cookies for every school, holiday, church, charity, family, and kids' sporting function known to mankind.

Once the kids were off to college, Teri enrolled in the "YouTube University" of fancy cookie decorating and, after six months, launched tweets...cookie connection, her cookie business, in 2012. The cookie was now her new canvas, and home cookie parties became the place for building connections with friends, organizations, and community businesses. She is proud to have defined her artisanship with the help of the great cookiers with whom she studied at CookieCon, and is humbled by the design awards she has received from the cookie community! Her cookies are recognizable in design . . . always full of sparkle, glitter, luster dust, and dots! [EDITOR'S NOTE: And chocolate, too! ]

Teri's chat room is now open to receive advance questions; just click here. And, as always, we'll be conducting an in-depth Cookier Close-up with Teri (likely later in June), where we'll get to know her even better, so stay tuned!
