Yay! My site support team has - at long last - implemented a new feature that will allow you to more easily locate events on the site calendar. Until just recently, you could only view the calendar in a grid-like calendar format, where our members' birthdays tended to dominate other cookie decorating classes and events. You also had to scroll month-by-month to locate events within a certain time period.

But now (hurrah, again!), you can filter the calendar events by date and type, allowing you to hone in on events happening at a certain time or to isolate birthdays from physical events (i.e., classes and conventions) or live chats.

To do these things, simply:

1. Click on "Calendar" in the main navigation line (or "View Calendar" under "Calendar") and the following display should reveal at the top of the page:

Calendar

2. Enter dates in the range to the far left to isolate the events during a given period.

3. And/or, click on the arrow next to "All Calendars" (in the drop-down menu, about mid-page) to isolate just birthdays or just chats or just other events. Or select "All Calendars" to see all types of events.

The site will then automatically filter the events based on the information you entered. For instance, if I wanted to see all birthdays between now and November 30, 2014, I would enter those dates to the left and then select "Birthday Calendar" in the drop-down menu.

Of course, you can still view the calendar in normal calendar grid-mode by toggling between the "List of Events" and "Calendar Grid" buttons at the top center of the page (see image, above).

Any questions? Just leave them here!
