Hello. I'm so happy to have found this forum, as I have much to learn! I've been a life-long baker and cake-and-cookie hobbiest, baking for friends and family at the holidays and for special occasions. Since Connecticut doesn't have cottage laws at present, I don't sell any of the baked goods that I make. I hope to see that change in the near future, though. I look forward to gaining tips and inspiration here--and thanks in advance for your help!

Hello to both you guys! I'm just a hobby baker at the moment, but I've recently been looking into the [lack of a] Cottage Law in Connecticut, which would allow us to operate a home kitchen from which to sell baked goods (apparently, we are one of just a handful of states that haven't passed one yet!) I signed the petition because I would dearly love to be able to sell some of my cookies and breads at my local farmer's market.

This forum seems to have tons of information and inspiration. I'm glad I found it!

Hello CT Cookiers!  I signed the CT Cottage Petition as well. I am new relatively new to cookies…. This site is an amazing find.. so many great ideas and so much helpful information.  We need a cookie club in this state!

Hi bette!

I hope CT passes a Cottage Law soon! I'm not looking to give competition to big commercial bakers...just to be able to sell once in awhile. I constantly get asked if I sell cookies that others see at showers I do for friends and family. It would be nice to say YES! for once.
