I hope someone has some advice. I made cookies flooded with red icing. Let them dry 24 hours then piped white names and numbers into the cookies. This is royal icing. So of course the white piping has some bleeding into it.  Are there any tricks to fix this now? I was wondering about painting white color over the piping ? Anybody have any advice, I would appreciate it !

I don't know if we will answer that question. I read once that bleeding happens when the icing is different consistencies.  So when I made my Christmas cookies I let the icing dry about 30 minutes and did the next areaon the cookie.  I used red, white and black.  There was no bleeding.  Yes all the icing was around the same consistency.  Good luck!

Thanks Econ lady.  I have been reading all I can find on bleeding and icing.  Your advice is good too. Thank you! I will try to work on consistency of icing and hopeful will figure this out.

Happy baking !
