Say Hello to Our January 2017 Site Artist! And a Call for New Site Art!

Well, folks, you should know her already . . . because that site artist is me!

I had a dearth of member contributions for the month of January , and so I took the easy way out and posted a recent image of some cookies that use my new Prettier Plaques^TM "Peace" set. Plus, "peace" seemed to be a wonderful message for ringing in 2017!

Basically, both the banner and backdrop use the same image, just cropped and scaled differently:

I also decided to depart from our usual small-scale tiled backgrounds and uploaded one super large-scale image, which I then lightened considerably just to give a wee suggestion of wintry cookies in the background.

Fortunately (for all of us), I have not one, but TWO member contributions to use in the month of February. I assure you, they're going to be a lot more interesting than my January posting!

But, as I noted last month, contributions are spotty after that, so I'm still very much hoping that some of you will rally and submit banners and backdrops for the following months (otherwise you're going to get awfully bored with my stuff): March, April, July, August, September, and December 2017. Please also remember that, if your art gets picked, not only will it beautify the site for a full month and draw unimagined levels of attention , but you will also be personally featured in a Cookier Close-up interview! Woo hoo!

Julia I don't think we'd ever get tired of your stuff your work is amazing it's one of my dreams to be featured as one of the site artist of the month even though I haven't posted anything as of yet LOL I do practice practice practice I use your videos as guidance I don't feel that I'm ready for this February but maybe next February or the one after there's so many good artists on this site come on guys think positive you're all worthy of such an honor recognition of your talents Julia your banner is beautiful Happy New Year to you and your family and everyone here on cookie connection

Ouch, Carol! That was me repeating Julia's words. I thought it was clear that by putting her expresson in quotes, I of course didn't consider her work as such !
