Not much else has yet been announced, but here's the link to the official CookieCon site so you can check back periodically for more details. I've also created a new "CookieCon 2017" forum, where Cookie Connection members are encouraged to start conversations about planning for and connecting at CookieCon 2017. The link to that forum can be found...Read More...

Need Help Finding Monogram Font

Joanie
I was asked to make bridal shower cookies with a three-letter monogram. I will need to use my Kopykake because I cannot write on a cookie without it!! Question - I want a monogram that has three initials where the center initial is larger than the other two. I'm looking thru different online font resources and when I select "monogram" they are all the same size. Any idea how I can change that, so the middle letter is larger? Or is what I'm looking for called something else? Thanks so much.Read More...

Hi, all! As a supplement to Liesbet's latest Toolbox Talk all about meringue powder, I'd like to develop our own Cookie Connection database to formally codify your meringue powder experiences! Even if you don't use meringue powder to make your royal icing, I would really appreciate it if you would take a few minutes to fill out this brief survey, all the way to Question 5. And even if you already filled out my quickie Facebook survey from last week, please fill out this one so we can...Read More...

Hi, all! It's time for another installment of Did You Know ?! So . . . did you know that Cookie Connection can help you sell your cookies? I get email inquiries at least a few times each week asking if certain cookies on the site are available for sale. In fact, I got three such inquiries just today! My immediate response is to direct the inquirer back to the photo s/he saw and to click on the creator's name at the top of the photo to get the creator's contact information. But, I also direct...Read More...

Julia M. Usher
Hi, as many of you know, we had a terrific live chat with Teri Pringle Wood this morning! (You can read the transcript here .) In fact, it was so busy that Teri was unable to get through all of the questions, so we're posting answers to the unanswered questions here. (Unfortunately, I can't edit the chat transcript or her chat description to add her answers there, so I hope everyone finds this info.) Here we go . . . Question 1: Teri: I fell in love with the traditional look of honey...Read More...

Decorating a Very Large Cookie

I want to make this cookie for my friend's son's birthday party. I have no idea who to attribute it to, as I've never been able to find any info on it, even using a Google image search. Does anyone have any tips on doing a big cookie like this? I know that I need to roll out the dough on the cookie sheet and then cut it out. I use corn syrup glaze, and I usually use the same consistency for piping and flooding, but I think I need to use two different consistencies for this because the flood...Read More...

Our sixth Sweet Sharing chat will soon be upon us, and it - yet again - features a topic of keen interest to many cookiers, namely: how to create your own cookie videos to extend brand awareness, without breaking the bank (or your back)! And here with us to address this topic is the lovely Mary Valentino of Emma's Sweets . (If you're lucky, she'll also field questions about how she creates her dreamy cookie sets! ) Mary posted her first YouTube video on April 23, 2014, and she's been hard at...Read More...

Sugar Diamonds MELTED?!

I made sugar diamonds yesterday with sugar/corn syrup, heated to 290 degrees, they turned out great. Plopped them on a wet royal-iced cookie. Looked fine. Got up this morning and there are little puddles of goo around the stones, like the candy liquefied! Will it harden back up?? Or do I need to start over?? Oh Lord, 2 dozen due tomorrow, ughhhh HELP!!!Read More...

Hi, cookie experts! I am VERY new to this, but have 2 orders in already! (Just for friends' parties, but still...). One of them wants monogrammed cookies for her daughter's birthday. First design, no problem (round cookies, wet on wet, blue with white dots). I'm planning to do royal icing transfers for the monogram. Second one - problem!! She wants "quilted" hearts, with the monogram. I can do the quilting, but unsure about how to do the monogram. Still with RI transfer and "glue" on after...Read More...

Did you know that all members, not just official Cookie Connection contributors, can submit blog tutorials for possible posting on this site?! Well, they can, and we have a prime example of one such (excellent) post in Laegwen's recently submitted origami spring cookie tut, here !
