I've toyed with the idea of creating a "more is more" 3D project (a @Julia M. Usher Julia phrase ). However, the idea of it has seemed quite daunting. But I decided to go ahead and bite the bullet to give it a shot. There was SO much I learned along this lengthy journey from the designing, re-designing, baking and assembly (not as easy as it looks when Julia does it in her tutorials ). But what FUN!

It crossed my mind to take pictures along the way with this particular project, however, by the time I remembered to take a picture of a specific technique in the building process I had moved on to the next step.

Thanks to @Julia M. Usher for passing along the confidence I needed to give this a try. Many, many thanks to this amazing community that continues to encourage and inspire with your incredible work.

Awesome, Carol! You made it!

I always wanted to try to make the hemispheres since I started watching  @Julia M. Usher’s videos . . .  I actually already bought the sphere molds.

Remember to always take pictures when you try a new technique, or take notes because they will be very helpful and time-saving for the next time.

Thank you so very much @Manu! I  so appreciate your kind and encouraging comments.  Really great ideas about taking pics and notes during the decorating.  I learned a Lot by doing a project like this.  It was so much FUN!!

I look forward to seeing what you design using the hemispheres :,). I know it will be awesome!!

Thanks again

So beautiful and unique, Carol! So many awesome little details! Absolutely love how you did that foot plate with the two beautiful plaque cookies!!!

Thank you so much!! There's a very small hemisphere above the base that is hard to see but I covered it with cake lace and had a cookie on top of it with a fondant strip and dots all around. It turned out better than I thought it would. Haha

Hi, Carol! So sorry for the delayed response; I've been away all weekend! It looks great - so glad you finally tried a sphere! They are fun, aren't they?! Thanks too for the very kind shout-out!

Hi Julia!!! Thank you for your kind comment . YES, it was tons of fun designing and decorating the sphere. I found that the dipping consistency is really critical in order for the sphere to dry perfectly. That was challenging even though I had watched you do it a bunch of times. I think it's just one of those things that I needed to do in order to understand how to do it right.

Many, many thanks to YOU for all the wonderful tutorials you do...I never would have even attempted many of the projects I've done if it hadn't been for your clear explanations and visuals ♥♥
