Great job! How was the underlying base color achieved - by dipping the eggs in royal icing, by covering with fondant, or some other way? Thanks!

I watched your rattle video and decided to dip them. On one I did try piping flood on top and letting it drip off the sides, but it didn't work as well.

I've piped and dripped too, and I find that dipping works better for whatever reason (maybe just the fact that you get more even coverage more quickly, don't know). Dipping is definitely more messy, but my results always seem to be smoother. Yours look great!
