Flowers GoTo seed

When Christine told me about the Challenge idea, you know I loved the idea!!  We got to talking, and pretty soon we were up to our eyeballs in cookie ideas.  I think I ended up steering us to where we arrived at, because I had had an idea for moths (Inspired by some amazing butterflies by Yankee Girl Yummies) and since moths pollinate flowers, we knew they could be a good "You Complete Me" pair.  Christine graciously agreed to stretch herself and do some flowers, but she really got going once she got inspired to also make some seed pods.  We talked for a while, and then it was settled that Christine would do what she wanted based on our conversation, and a couple of inspiration picture for color, and then she would send them to me, and I would do what I was inspired to do once I got them.

Opening that box was a little like Christmas morning!! Wow!!! Christine had gone absolutely crazy making the most amazing cookies!!! I had not planned on making too many cookies  because of time constraints, so I ended up splitting the cookies in to two "scenes" and adding in my cookies to complete the looks!   What an honor!! What a blast. I love cookie collaborations.  Thank you Christine for the gift of your amazing art!!!

The two scenes are meant to show summer flowers, pollinated by moths, butterflies and even a hummingbird (You gotta have a bird when it's Bakerloo Station, right?), followed by moving in to the end of summer, where moths and butterflies still float around, but it's time to gather up a little reminder of summer's bounty to decorate the house for the winter.

The honor was all mine.  I would do it again in a heartbeat. xoxox

Well, the mother of all collaborations! What a gift having those amazing cookies made by such talented cookiers, no doubt you two have inspired so many of us to brainstorm ideas for so many challenges. And what a surprise! Speaking of birds, maybe I should have got from the sneak peak of that feather that you posted on the IG that your buddy was Christine... The cookies are stunningly beautiful in their semplicity, the colors so natural, the staging great, I can see them moving. Congrats and thank you!
