Elegance
I often love simple designs as much as intricately piped, gorgeous works of art! Here's my salute to simplicity :)

I debated about tagging the clip set of fondant topped cookies because the oval mold is fairly large on this 3x3 cookie. Using the fondant wheel design on the border sculpted chocolate (painted with silver metallic edible paint) was inspired by Julia's tutorial of the tea cup with dark chocolate accented by a wheel to add interest to the border. Thank you Julia!

That iridescent blue is just gorgeous, as is your whole cookie! May I ask, what is the brand?

Thank you so much! The blue is an iridescent blue color by Dinkydoodle Designs (based in the UK) that that is airbrushed onto a completely dried flooded cookie with black RI. It's a wonderful product! and I love the effect!! So glad you like it too. It's super cool, I think

It just takes your design to a whole new level! I watched the video tutorial. Glad to know it's available in Canada too.

Very nice Carol, I was wondering if that mold could be used for the challenge with dough...

Hi Manu, it's interesting to hear you say that as I was wondering the same thing.  I actually made the mold using isomalt (another recent cookie has isomalt in it).  there was a lot of the isomalt left as I knew there would be so I tried it in several molds that I have.  This mold looks very elegant in isomalt whereas a few of the other molds I tried just get lost in the product so that you can't really see the design very well.  I may find an occasion to use this isomalt mold on another cookie.  Debating whether or not to post the cookie with the isomalt.  I think it turned out great but I hesitate to post many cookies that I make. I don't take "rejection" well of a design that I've spent a lot of hours making.  lol. (it's just my own quirkiness ). ♡

Oh, but not that simple, Carol! There's some fine detailing there! Really gorgeous, and that blue so beautiful!

Thank you so much Sonja!!! You are so sweet...have really missed seeing you! I know you've got lots going on but I just wanted you to know that your absence was definitely felt...hope to see some more of your amazingly gorgeous cookies when time permits
