Inspired by Bee Royalty as well as the war on nature this was titled Royal Jelly: God Save The Queen. The base was a big cookie painted with royal, airbrushed and then powdered with dust and cornstarch to give a "pollen" look. I also drizzled isomalt for the "honey" around the board. The cookies I used a honeycomb stencil then piped each figure white with Royal Icing and hand painted each of the soliders as well as the Queen. The wings were hand drawn on wafer paper and covered with Flexique.

@Shannon Orr -  I see that you also tagged a "San Antonio competition" for this entry.  Is that the cake/sugar show that was Feb 25-26?

Hi Christine, that was actually Austin. San Antonio was last weekend with the Frosting Creators of San Antonio.

Thank you for the kind words. I worked really hard on this set but was hesitant to put it here due to it not being the usual beautiful decadance one finds and only using tiny bit of wafer paoer on each cookie. This is 100% me, from my brain. I placed first and it meant the world to me. At the very least I appreciate you looking and allowing me to share.
