I called this cookie "Easter in Bloom" because Easter marks the start of spring when we start to see flowers again. The piping around the outer portion is meant to represent petals that are just beginning to open to reveal the beautiful flower inside. For the colour, I was inspired by all of the beautifully coloured Easter candies and decorations. Hopefully, these photos will give you an idea of the depth and dimension created with the layers of icing.

Work of art as always and I always love to read your comment! It helps appreciate your work even more.

@Manu biscotti decorati Thanks Manu. I figured this one needed a bit of interpretation as it is not your typical Easter - or flower cookie.

I always wonder how you come up with ideas, this string world.    How big is this cookie??

This cookie is about 11cm (4.5") in diameter. For the outer part, I just experimented, like I do with most of my work. (I'm terrible at planning so I never sketch anything out.)  Once I get a pattern, I then try to figure out what colors will work best with it. The inner part is made up of common geometric shapes. I just used different sizes and colors to create my version of a flower. ☺

@Ryoko ~Cookie Ave. Hmmm...I might have to take you up on that...

@Heather Bruce Sosa and Ryoko - I have a dollar store stand and an old phone . I try but it is sometimes frustrating. One day I will get it.
