As Summer Comes to an End...Finally

As much as I enjoy the summer, it's always wonderful to look forward to fall and cooler climes! Arizona summers are notoriously hot and this summer was no exception. It seemed appropriate to finish the summer with some beach/nautical themed cookies (that paired with the cottage I made for my mom's 85th birthday).

Once again, Julia @Julia M. Usher , has provided me with the perfect backdrop for the beach theme with her gorgeous and intricate beach house stencil! I love her stencils and the versatility you can achieve with them. I've taken Julia's idea of creating a 2D effect by raising my fondant message square with some small pieces of fondant in order to create dimension. The rope border and nautical anchor helps tie everything together.

Looks wonderful! I have a video tutorial posting on 8/20 about this set, but it looks like you don't need it!

Thank you for your sweet words dear Tina  @Tina at Sugar Wishes !! The days are definitely getting shorter now.  I'm looking forward to lower temps. It's still over 100 degrees here. We have one more full month of hot weather. Take care of yourself my sweet cookie friend ❤❤❤
