You did a fantastic job blending the colors of the marzipan. There is such a huge difference with the finished product once you put everything together. And the gold accents are the perfect compliment.

An "imaginary" gift for you, Christine.
This is a butter cookie decorated with marzipan. Only a tiny part (the streak of bright white) is fondant. The "speckles" in the surface are very fine pieces of almond from the marzipan.
I put together the pattern in marzipan using many small parts and rolled it out again.
