Butterfly Stamped cookie
I've had this stamp for a long while and it fit on this cookie so I gave it a try. I messed up the body, so that led me to embellishing with some green icing I had on hand for another cookie's leaves. A little too thick...oh well!

I find stamping challenging, never can seem to get a good clean stamp don't I never seem to see many tips or tutorials for this technique. I love your stamp and you are doing much better than I with them. Guess I have to keep practacing.

I'm new to stamping and got energized about it after buying Julia's Ultimate Cookies DVD.  I bought a bunch of stamps on BIG sale at Michael's some months ago and then just could not make it work!  Julia's technique with a stamp pad and even the brand of gel color seemed to make a world of difference.  I have to work on having flatter cookies and being able to see where I'm missing color on the stamp.  I like doing it so I expect I'll be playing with them even more in the upcoming weeks.  They did take longer than expected for the stamp to dry in my humid coastal environment...even under a fan and cold a/c!
