They are terrific! What did you paint them with - edible marker?

This is so beautiful, Diane! Your drawings are so thin that it looks like you used an edible marker, though I read "handpainted". But I never seen white edible marker in the shop here...

Hi Leoni, thank you so much.  No, I did hand paint them with a number one paint brush.   I wish they had a white really fine tip edible marker out there!  I'm going to search the Rainbow Dust collection because it would be so much easier with an edible marker. But, really not too difficult using the paint brush.

Thank you Manu.  I did hand paint them (picture attached) because I can't seem to fine a fine tip white edible marker.  It would be a faster process with a marker for sure!!

Here is a picture of the brush I use Leoni.  

If anyone knows of a company that makes a very fine tipped white edible marker please share your knowledge!  Although this is not "very" difficult to do with a number one paint brush (picture below), it would be a faster process and perhaps a more detailed design with an edible marker.

Lol!  Maybe you are using a shorter version of the #1 brush...which allows me to get those "amorphous blobs" as well!  The length of this brush makes a big difference.  As an example, a friend of mine paints on nails and had a hard time getting very small details into her work.   I recommended this brush and she LOVES it.  Any manufacturer will do.  The length of the brush hairs allows you to get a very fine line without a lot of pressure and it makes circles and arches better. More control.

What you did is amazing! I mean the control you have on the brush and the outcome! I am impressed... but not so surprise as all of your work is always special.

Thank you so much Manu!  Try the brush, I think you will find it easier to control than it sounds.  It is great for outlining.

Wow - really beautiful and well done.  Georganne (LilaLoa) provided a tutorial on how to make your own white food marker using a food marker you don't use a lot - like the yellow one - empty it, rinse it, fill it with white food coloring.  It works!  Here is the link to her tutorial.  http://www.lilaloa.com/2012/11...od-color-marker.html

These are SO pretty. I haven't tried the chalkboard technique yet but these are sure pushing me in that direction! Beautifully done!
