This was a different type of set than I've done before but I was drawn to the occasion of a baby christening when the parents, family and friends join together in church to dedicate their baby into God's hands for life. The parents also come together to dedicate themselves to raising their little one with love and with God's help. I love this!! What a great start in life .

The concept of the Bible cookie came from watching a tutorial by Nadia of My Little Bakery (I love her work!!) You can see the tutorial at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yHU0LMzn_o. It's actually 2 cookies sandwiched together with a "page marker" (sweet & sour candy) between the cookies.

I looked at SO many different things related to christenings/confirmations in images and cookies alike. Crosses and dove cookies were requested and you can see those in nearly every set of these types of cookies. I wanted to bring something fresh to the mix. Making a Bible cookie with Nadia's concept was great but I thought the idea of an open Bible cookie with the praying hands would be unique and a good fit for the occasion .

The best part was that my customer loved the cookies. Yay! She told me that everyone was afraid to even take a bite because they just wanted to look at them...but they're COOKIES made for eating!!! They're yummy and should be eaten, right?

Dear Carol, what a beautiful set! Love the grey-blue you used, and the front cross is so dainty. Congratulations!πŸ₯°

Thank you so much dear Heather @Heather Bruce Sosa! You're always so sweet and kind . I just haven't had much time to spend looking at cookies here and have really missed seeing much of the cookie art that's been done over the last few weeks...sigh. I hope I haven't missed any of your beautiful creations! I love seeing what you're working on my dear cookie friend ❀️
