These are about 7x5 cm rectangles. I don't have a Kopykake or any other projector, so I drew the designs on a piece of parchment paper and traced them on the dried RI surface with a scribing tool. It works very well.

I look for your designs and hate to miss any.  I saw the thumb nail and was drawn to it.  Love the set!  Is this on a sugar cookie and flooded with brown RI?  You did a fantastic, eye-catching job!  I've tried that tracing technique and couldn't see the image.  lol  Pshaw!   hahahahaa  Bravo!

Thank you everyone!
Donaharrisburg, yes,  they are sugar cookies flooded with greyish brown RI. (Actually I had a lot of leftover red and beige icing after making Chrirstmas ornaments so I used it, just adding black to beige icing.)

If the RI surface is white, probably you can't see the trace very well. Tracing with a scribing tool works well on coloured icing.

Ummmm, ...  Are you saying you iced it first (just a little?) and then traced your design on it?  I've only seen it done before icing was topped on it.  So you airbrushed in sections first, put a little icing in the middle, lettered with food marker (?) on tissue paper (?) then iced your lettering?  (I apologize for being dense and, most times just stupid - lol.)

Duh!  I am so sorry.  That's RI on a gingerbread cookie.  I had to pop open your attachments to get a better look.  I think I got it now.  Top the cookie, let it dry, then etch lettering, design.  I have too many brain burps!  lol
