THanks im glad you like it! I worked on it part time for a month, overall it clocked up about 15 hours but it was my first time doing a cake like this so next time it should be quicker

Congratulations! Looks like you deserved you first place win,it's beautiful. One thing I like about your designs is how they have intricate details, but are not overwhelming fancy. You really know when to stop so it's not overdone. Bravo!
Thanks so much! its hard to know when to stop with decorating, sometimes less is more, sometimes it calls for more detail if you feel something is missing... I don't usually have a design in my head, I decorate as I go

So it was a classic English fruitcake?

I've always been spellbound by this style.

Congratulations on 1st place.  Bet the judges wished they could've given an even higher mark.

This is exquisite.
