Cottage Garden flowers

I have added Tips, Techniques as categories, as i wanted to show how these cookies used both hand painting and Royal Icing worked together to create delicate flowers. The Forget-me-not flowers were added after handpainting the stems, but the Borage flowers were piped first and handpainted afterwards. There is no right or wrong, just how the cookie goes Thanks

Hello Mily, I'm very new on Cookie Connection (like 12 hours) but one thing I do know is experimentation and willing to try different things gives others ideas to try. When you look at a cookie idea, try thinking outside the square and looking at what parts of a design you could pipe / flood or paint..

Try doing the forget-me-nots - paint a few lines and leaves using different shades of greens, and then put the blue flower dots on, then look at it and paint accents. yellow centres, a wee bit of purple perhaps.. Let me know how you get on. Cheers, Kat
