Thanks again, Manu. It was not easy to find the exact point of the sugar to have this effect, too much sugar = towel effect, not enough sugar = stone effect but I loved your tutorial and these cookies. Thank you for your effort, totally worth it!

Yes, I know, right! But the typical stitches used for felt crafts help to trick the eye! It is crucial to use icing sugar (aka confetctioner’s sugar/ powder sugar/zucchero a velo) because it gives a matt finish and it is crucial to apply random dabs of flooding-consistency royal icing to give some underlying texture because felt isn't as smooth as velvet or suede. The β€œfelt effect” is a combination of these three factors.

Thank you once again for crediting me. Nowadays I consider this a great quality. And this is the best reward for my efforts!πŸ’•

Amazing!!! How did you get the texture? I had to look at them twice to make sure they were cookies!πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ₯°

Thank you Heather! I followed the tutorial by Manu on CookieConnection. It was not easy to get the texture but the effort was worth it!
