Very nice, Tina. I love that painted flowers.

When I painted my "Mosque interior cookies" I extended the food colors with Mastika and the brush just flowed. I've always wanted to let you know and asked if you have ever tried that.

Oh my goodness I had no idea. Thank you so much for the heads up. Where did you learn that trick?

Actually by accident! It was the only alcoholic thing I had available at home and happened to work so well with the modecor food colors. The colors were so vivid but most important was how the brush flowed on RI! Don't  know how it works with other brands of food colors but if you have it home give it a try.

Mastika here is a thick gum from the island of Xios. I didn't know it came in an alcoholic form. Are we talking about the same thing?  I only have Wilton colors. But your a sweetheart for sharing this with me.

Yes, it does, it is a liqueur seasoned with the mastika from Xios and it is called mastika. My husband brought it from Greece... and actually he was very disappointed when he found out I used (a small amount) for the cookies

That's so cool. I actually don't like the taste of it . Ouzo is much better.
