I wanted to take part in this challenge realizing a miniature sushi on a cookie. This is my first attempt with this technique and I'm very satisfied of the result achieved. I piped different types of sushi (maki, uramaki, salmon nigiri, dumplings, wasabi and ginger) using royal icing and painted them with gel and powder food colours. I also used fondant for the chopsticks, the bamboo and leaf-shaped placemats and the soy sauce bowl. The latter was realised with black gel colour. Finally, to give a more realistic touch to the arrangement I used a wooden plank effect on the cookie with royal icing and a spatula.

😍so sweet of you Evelin! Thank you so much 😘😘

This is a great entry, Manuela, and very impressive for a first attempt. There are so many wonderful details that really make this look like real sushi on a wooden plank. What really stands out is how beautifully you have shaped each piece and how meticulous your hand-painted details are. Very wonderful work.
