Hi, so cute!

(1) Remember: to qualify for the challenge, you have to state in the comments to this photo which two of the three required lace techniques you used. They are somewhat obvious in this case, but they still need to be stated per challenge rules.

(2) Also, just curious: where is the edible paper on this cookie? I can see the cake lace, but not sure about the paper.

Thanks!

Hi Julia,

Sorry... It took me a little bit to write the description... needed the help of google translate.

Sunbonnet Sue´s dress is made with edible paper.

Thanks!!

Alison

Great, thanks! We must have been looking at/working on the post at the same time. Sorry about that - and thanks again for the information.

I really love these challenges!

This is an 8 inch cookie. For this challange I made my own edible lace for Sunbonnet Sue´s apron, the dimesional bow (I am sorry that you can´t really appreciate the volume in the photo) and the frill on her bonnet.

I used Eyelet Lace Technique to decorate de cookies border

To make the lacy butterfly, I first made royal icing transfers for the wings, once dry I stuck them to the body so as to give the butterflly some volume.

I also used Edible Paper to make her dress

I am already looking forwards to the next Challenge

What a lovely cookie!  Your hand-piped eyelet is so pretty, and I really love how you used the edible lace for the various clothing elements.  Really creative!

Thank you so much for your coments Bakerloo!!
