A cookie landscape in square format, like if it was seen from a window. It is an Italian landscape, not from a specific region but more a mix of images and memories. There are vineyards, sunflower and poppy fields, clouds and the three birds that I often painted in my cookie projects or reproduced in cookie form.

I designed the composition to fit the plate and I used the biggest square cookie cutter that I had ( 5 in/about 12 cm). I would have liked softer colors, but I still don’t have the patience to wait and to let the color in the icing develop. I also had to force myself to stop adding details at a certain point. Below the composition disassembled.

So so perfectly beautiful! I want to try a puzzle now, because you inspire me! Well, maybe someday! And I totally see the Italian hillside as I look at this. Even the regal Italian Cypress trees! Beautiful work of art!

Manu, Manu, Manu, you’ve mailed it again!!! What a beauty!!! I think we we’ll all caught on the fact that it’s a puzzle and not just one piece! I love the bright colours and how you describe with icing the different landscapes. So beautiful, dear friend🥰

Wonderful work Manu. Beautiful fall colours. I can appreciate all the time it must have taken to pipe all of those lines and dots  but it's those details that really bring everything together. ❤️

This isn't one piece, I thought it was.  You made me want to visit Italy.    Especially I like how you express the clouds.  👏👏👏☁️☁️

Thank you, @Ryoko ~Cookie Ave.! Yes, the cookies didn’t spread, but once I flooded them there were gaps!

Such a beautiful ‘cookie puzzle’, I though it was only a cookie at first sight! Very beautiful colors and texture, I just love it ❤️

Thank you Evelin💕

I am glad to have posted the other photo then, as also Ryoko had the same feeling of 1 single cookie!

Thank you @Kim Damon! I mixed images of vineyards and flower fields. I made the Cipressi a little bit chubbier and short than they really are, to fit them in this imaginary place in my mind. In fact those in the distance are the same size of those in the front, no perspective! I am glad to have given you the feeling.💙

Thank you @Heather Bruce Sosa! Yes, it is a puzzle because it is made of 5 cookies and because it is inspired to many images😊

Thank you, Christine @Sweet Prodigy! The icing was on point, so it was quite easy to pipe the lines, but I am realizing that it is hard for my eyes to pipe them. I wear glasses and I need to make sure to be  always at the same distance from the cookie otherwise I loose focus, but it looks like I keep leaning while working on them! Then this morning I had to fix the first line to the left, as I broke one end while taking pictures🤦‍♀️😡

The  interpretation was perfect! I coupd tell right  what you were going for. Looks just like a vinyard on a hill! Xoxo

Ooooh Manu, this cookie would almost have "escaped" me !!! It is so beautiful in color, playful as a puzzle, suitable for the summer themed and great in the implementation! Manu-cookies just! ❤️  @Manu biscotti decorati

So ingenious dear Manu @Manu biscotti decorati!! I love the square format with the curves of the hills and trees that add so much color and variety to the landscape (or cookie-scape). Beautiful work, as always my dear ❤️

Thank you, Carol @Cookies Fantastique! This is something I have been doodling for years. When he saw the cookie my son told me: “Oh! The hills!...” We have been drawing this themed a lot when he was a little kid. I just didn’t realized how many years passed by!
