In this set of "sea " cookies 2017  - I piped only WHITE ICING,  and then I used airbrush - and for the final touch- colored the cookies using a thin brush & coloring gel. In the previous set- I piped colored icing and the colors turned out not so elegant as I wanted.

for the sand- I used light brown sugar and highlighted it with ivory airbrush . and in the previous set - no "sand" texture.

In this 2017 set: the icing was flooding consistency and in the older one: medium.

The colors in the new set of cookies are "finer" - gentle.

tnx

@Veredcakes This is a lovely set, but to qualify for the challenge, it must be a re-do or re-make of a set you did before, and you must also share, in a comment under this photo, that previous set (a photo) and an explanation of the changes you made between the two sets.

Please add that information as soon as possible so we can keep your cookie in the challenge.

Thank you!

OK - I see that you uploaded the 2016 version of this set as a separate image. I deleted the separate image and am uploading the 2016 image for you below.

You still must state what you did differently between the two sets in order to stay in the challenge, however. Please add those comments here. Thank you.

Thanks, I can very clearly see the color differences that you made - though both sets are super attractive!

Really, I love both sets, but the second one definitely has that softer, more water-colored look I think you were going for.  This is such a great theme for a redo, since you can do this theme so many ways.  I think you should make a third different sea set next year!
