These a of course wonderful. I've become a fan!

How big is this cookie and how long does it take you to decorate it?  Also, do you create the cookie as you go or do you sketch out a decorating plan with colors and textures you'll use?  I'm probably asking you to reveal a family secret...  ; )

Thank you so much Pip for all of your kind words, always!  This cookie is about 3 1/2" long.  I used to time myself all of the time when I sold cookies but now I really don't .  However, if I had to guess, I would say the details take about 10 minutes as long as all of my icing bags are ready to go.  As far as design is concerned, I am mostly an "organic" decorator in that I have some idea in my mind what I want to accomplish but it usually comes to fruition as I go along. RARELY, do I plan out the design, however, on occasion, it is necessary and stresses me out a bit.  When I ice the cookie (prior to piping), I make sure I like the overall color scheme on the cookie.  I typically just make a few colors that I think would look nice and then when I like that, I ice.  The rest come as I go.

They're adorable love all the colors so bright and cheerful

Thank you Anne Marie.  I do love the colors on these birds and they did make me happy.  I think they will put a smile on the recipients faces.
