A last minute set adapted and reduced as it went along: it includes moulded fondant details, wafer paper pictures and watch plate, lots of gold (and some silver and bronze) dust and the Rolkem 'antique' dust, and the watch glass is made of gelatine.

These are gorgeous, but please remember that to qualify for the challenge a minimum of four of our listed techniques (see the challenge blog post) must be used on at least one cookie, and you must state in the comments which cookie uses which techniques. It's not enough to use four techniques across an entire set. I imagine one or more of the cookies here qualify, but I do not want to guess which one.

I think the watch has molded fondant, painted gold, wafer paper underneath and a gelatin layer, though gelatin was not on our list, I don't believe.

No, gelatin was not on the list.  Maybe the four 2016 cookies qualify? Here is the list: 

1.  Create your mixed media cookie (or set) using a minimum of four (4) of the following different media/techniques. (If you make a set, not every cookie has to use all four techniques, but at least one of them must!)

• royal icing transfers
• fondant or gumpaste elements
• SugarVeil® or other edible lace elements
• sprinkles, dragées, or other storebought candies
• stenciled areas or elements
• stamped areas or elements
• wafer paper, frosting sheets, edible gold/silver leaf, or other edible paper
• homemade candy, such as melted clear mints, sugar syrup boiled to various stages, modeling chocolate, etc.
• isomalt
• luster dusts
• painted areas or elements, using extended dusts or food coloring
• hand-drawn areas or elements, using edible marker

Bummer . . . I regret that I have to disqualify this entry, as we did not receive clarification of the four techniques used (on which cookie) in time. I have removed it from the challenge clip set for this reason. 

What a wonderful set!  I just love the theme.

I'm sorry, I didn't read the the blog post carefully enough and missed that at least one cookie needed all 4 techniques, and I didn't realise I had to stick to the list. 

I don't mind disqualifying for the challenge, it was fun to decorate again!

So creative!! The treatment of the colors on the frames is stunning. Did you paint them gold and brush some black luster dust on top for that antique look? If not, how did you achieve it? Love it!!

Thank you Carol!  Yes, the frames are painted gold and when dry, I painted black Americolor over it, trying to only touch the raised details.

I love using frames on cookies. These inspire me.
