The photo frame cookie has a stenciled background (airbrush), edible image, royal icing transfers (hearts), sanding sugar and decorative pearls, border is painted with food coloring/luster dust mixture. Edible image was made from a 1941 family photo.

What a wonderful, vintage-y set!  Was this a gift for the couple in the photo?  I REALLY want to know the back-story for this set!  

The couple in the photo are my parents in 1941. My dad served in WWII before they were married, and the photo was taken the day he left for his training. I found the picture a few years ago when I was cleaning out a cabinet where I had stored photos that my mom left.
