What a beautiful cookie!! Your 🐢 are so cute and realistic! The deep blue background just enhances all the teenie-weenie transfers so well. 🥰

Thanks Heather Bruce Sosa!  For the water, I chose not to pipe the royal icing background smooth and gave it some ripple texture in places.  Then brushed it with a mixture of different shades of food gel mixed with corn syrup and almond extract.  I thought the glossy sheen would help the other items stand out.

Thanks E. Sherwood!  The smaller turtle is hand painted on royal icing.  The larger turtle is royal icing for the scales, wet on wet technique for the shell and then small details painted on the body.
