I picked Vietnam as my theme. I rarely make cookies inspired by Asian countries including my country Japan, so I thought I should make something Asian this time.

Vietnam is one of the country I want to visit one day the most. To me, it's a beautiful country with beautiful nature, beautiful food and beautiful people.

For the round cookies, I put "non La," Vietnamese conical hats on birds. (I've been obsessed with birds in hats.)  I piped @Evelindecora 's crochet piping on their wings. The background was inspired by beautiful rice fields (terrace) and I painted with diluted food colours.

The navy plaque cookies were inspired by Vietnamese indigo dyed cloth.

@mintlemonade (cookie crumbs) These are super sweet, but please put them in the Practice Bakes Perfect clip set to be sure they get entered in the challenge. They are likely to be overlooked (and not included in the prize drawing) unless you do this. Thanks!

Sorry I forgot! I've done it, thank you Julia❤️

I adore these!  I really like how your set is more "inspired" by Vietnam than a literal representation of Vietnamese objects. The backgrounds evocative of rice fields are simply beautiful. I am also smitten by the cloth-like pattern of the navy-colored cookies. I wonder if you could have achieved a different, more batik-like effect with a wet-on-wet approach? I know the pattern would not end up as crisp, but this might be something fun to experiment with! Lastly, I wholly agree that one can never have enough birds in hats!

Thank you! Actually I still had some left over round and mini plaque cookies just flooded with white icing after I canceled a few classes due to my fractures and I used them for this set! That's why I didn't think of wet on wet for the indigo cookies.

I know you love bird cookies as much as I do. Birds fit any theme, any style!

Amazing, original design as always! I love how you piped bird wings in crochet, genius ❤️

Thank You Evelin!💕 Your crochet piping gives different texture and I love it!
