For many designs, I can use the projector with the room lights on. They had an older model called the Design Master II with 2 bulbs, but I don't believe they carry it anymore.

I bought mine used on Ebay, but have had great experiences with Artograph customer service. They are also sold on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Artograp...master+art+projector

I just wanted to let people know about a great alternative to the KopyKake if they are in the market for a projector. I even think the Artograph is more attractive.

Great tip! How is it different than the Kopykake, do you know? It looks exactly like my Kopykake, except it's black.

Another suggestion - there are a lot of projection apps on the iPad. One called Camera Lucida also allows you to upload images and project them onto a work surface. Another cookier wrote a tutorial about using it a few months ago (darn, can't find it). So if you're already an iPad user, this can also be an economical way to go.
