I always find the questions asked here very interesting !!! I really like such colored glass cookies too !!! I have never done it myself and have also wondered how it is done !? I would probably try adding gelatin to the corn syrup and would simply try different mixing ratios. Too much gelatin could later make the "glossy layer" brittle or peel it off, and if too little it sticky. I could imagine it like that. (???) I would rather not try agar agar because it dries cloudy outside. The cookie would no longer shine. It's all guesswork, but I'm also very interested!

Econlady: the cookies in your photo are not ugly at all! They are very beautiful for the first try !!!

But I have a question for you Rachel. Are there no printed ingredients on this product ("Vitral Stained Glass Paint")? Maybe that's just gelatin and powder color that you have to mix in corn syrup or water ??!?)
