So fabulous @Julia M. Usher!! The flexibility is one of my most favorite parts of the stencils you have and continue to design!! And the designs are truly gorgeous with all the detail and intricate parts.

Thanks again for all you do to make cookie decorating even more fun and you continue to keep it a fresh experience!!

Thank YOU for always being so supportive and enthusiastic. Some days I feel like throwing in the towel, so these words of encouragement are truly reinvigorating! XOXO

This may be a stupid question, but where are masking and shading pieces?  I didn’t get any.  Am I suppose to take it from another set?

I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you bought and thus can't really tell you what you should have gotten without more info.

The back of every stencil package should have a small white label that shows what's supposed to be in the pack.

If you're talking about my Duos sets . . . Both my Duos background set and my Duos message set (for the above heart cookies, and for all such sets) contain both shading and masking pieces, as shown in the blog post about them here (scroll to mid-post and you can see what's in each pack): https://confectioncouturestenc...c-duo-background-set

The Confection Couture site also always shows what's in each pack under the appropriate product image on the site. This is always the best place to go to make sure you got what you ordered. So, for instance, the trio of grey images under the big image on this page shows what's in the Mum Duos pack: https://confectioncouturestenc...c-duo-background-set

If you didn't get what the site shows should be included or what's on the package label, then you are missing things, and you need to contact Confection Couture to get the issue resolved. Be careful opening packs though; the masks are often very small, and it's easy for them to drop out and get lost.

Thanks.

I was trying to use my stencil of the month club stuff to make some of what you did, but it appears I don’t get the sayings or masks as a stencil of the month member.

That's right - you don't get the NEW Duos message/frame set, but you get two other sets (MORE value than the one Prettier Plaques set you got last time for the same price.)

The link to my blog post above describes what you should have gotten as a SOM member; it is NOT the same as what you got with Prettier Plaques because we moved to Duos set, where we are putting nearly TWICE as much into each of the two sets. (We also sent all SOM members a letter a couple of months ago that described the NEW SOM offering. Please refer to that as well.) Instead of releasing three Prettier Plaques sets each month, and sending one Prettier Plaques set to each SOM customer, I am releasing two Duos sets (ONE with twice the number of backgrounds as in the Prettier Plaques sets; AND ANOTHER SEPARATE SET with twice the number of messages/frames) AND one simpler Confection Couture basic accent stencil. Because each Duos set has about the same content as ONE Prettier Plaques set, we could not afford to give SOM members BOTH Duos set for the same price as we had before. SO, we are giving you ONE Duos set (JUST the background set, NOT the message/frame set) PLUS a little extra in the form of the Confection Couture accent stencil for now - for the same price. This offering is subject to change in the future too, but we are always trying to give you as many stencils as we can for the lowest possible price.

If you did not get the letter from Confection Couture, all of the above is also explained in my link above; here's the excerpt:

SO, in short, you should have received the following in your December shipment:

The 4-piece background Duos set:

The 1-piece Confection Couture accent stencil:

If you got all of the above, you got what you should have gotten. Did you?

Please also bookmark the Stencil of the Month Club page on the Confection Couture site, as it ALWAYS shows the current SOM offering and what you should have been mailed. It's probably a good idea to check this page before your mailing so you can check your mailing against it when it comes, as the page rotates with every release. We are now showing the January release (with the bunny background set and another accent stencil), which you also should have gotten by now. Did you?

My blog post link above (previous comment) also describes our reasoning for this Duos change; basically it was to give more value in each layered set, particularly in our message sets which only had one message/frame in them before.

I hope this clarifies everything and that you got all that I described above (and you enjoy them). If you didn't get something, then Confection Couture is the one to contact, as they handle all order fulfillment for me. I have no product here, and no records of what was shipped to you. But they absolutely do!

Thanks.
