Class Description:
Want to get extra dimension on your cookies without the blood, sweat, and (sometimes) tears of going fully 3-D?! Well then, you’re in the right spot! In this hand-on class, Julia will show you how to draw on various mixed media and airbrushing techniques to take your cookie designs to new heights! Along the way, Julia will address the fundamentals of airbrushing, including the difference between single- and dual-action systems, two core modes of triggering, and cleaning and maintenance tips.
Techniques covered: Airbrushing, stenciling, rubber-stamping, dusting with compressed petal dusts, hand-piped roses, fondant appliqués, and wafer paper and modeling chocolate bows and ribbons.
Prerequisites: None! This class is suitable for all skill levels!
Notes:
- All tools and materials will be supplied, but are for classroom use only.
- Class size is limited to ensure everyone gets the utmost of Julia’s attention - so don’t delay in signing up!
- Each student will leave with one to two lavishly decorated cookies (in a take-home cookie box), one of Julia’s stencil sets ($19 value), a set of digital class notes with Julia’s recipes and sources, and some other surprises specially handpicked by Julia.
- Students’ designs are limited to two of those depicted in the photos, or two of their own imagination, limited only by the tools on hand in class.
