Reply to "Cleaning brushes after using highlighter dust"

One teacher told me to use a brush for color and not cleaning it never..... Well I find it to expensive for me.  So I use wáter only and that blue disposable towels that came in big rolls.  I put wáter in a glass and let the brush a few minutes not to much or it could lost the shape.  I shake the brush and dry it with the towel if the wáter has color or the towel I repeat it again.   For extreme dirty brushes, I use a thing that is used to clean airbrushes, wet the brush with that liquid and with your fingers masage it softly then rinse it until no odor.  After that I have always extreme dirty brushes clean.   Always clean your brushes as soon as you end using them, and if you must use them next day clean them, do not let them the wolle night dirty.  I let them dry on that blue towels.   That airbrush liquid helps to clean your hands too when they had color stains after airbrushing or coloring fondant.   Some bristle brushes take color and end stained, that worries me not, the thing is that they do not stain or contaminate color when you use them again.  I hope it helps you.  I have the same brushes for 5 long years.    Note:  Airbrush cleaner for edible paints not for art airbrushes.
