Coming...Not Coming....

What inspired me are “Creazione di Adamo”(Adam’s Creation) that is the painting on the ceiling of Cappella Sistina (Sistina Chapel) by Michelangelo and Manu’s “Loves Me, Loves Me Not”

I think Michelangelo won’t mind, my painting is far from his masterpiece, he doesn’t even notice that is Adam’s arm.

Manu gives us detailed tutorials to the members of Cookie Connection, that’s everybody here knows.

It is Manu’s birthday today and I made this for her, I hope she likes the idea.  

Happy Birthday, Manu!

Adam is doing flower fortune telling, “coming, not coming, coming….” with the sunflower that Manu likes.  At last the girl (mini Manu) came to Vatican in Rome and looked up the picture, the petal is falling from the picture to the flower…..  

Manu is actually back to Rome.

The cookie of Adam’s arm and sun flower are painted.  

The hat of mini Manu is royal transfer.

Falling petals and petals on the floor are royal transfer, too.

Ryoko! This is absolutely enchanting. What a wonderful birthday salute. I hope you (it’s your birthday too, right?) and @Manu biscotti decorati have an equally enchanting birthday. ❤️❤️😘🥂

Thank you.  Not my birthday, only Manu's.  When @Manu biscotti decorati notices this clip, she is going to explain a little more the meaning of "coming .... not coming..." and why I chose something in Rome on this cookie, I guess.

Dear Ryoko @Ryoko ~Cookie Ave., thank you so much for another amazing  and thoughtful set of cookies for my birthday and for starting this tradition five years ago. Your creativity and story telling is incredible.

I really hope we will be able to meet in Rome next year.  Who knows? This pandemic has disrupted so many plans so far. Shall we visit the Cappella Sistina? Or shall we decorate cookies?

2020 and 2021, my husband and I booked ourselves to travel in Japan and outside of Japan but cancelled them all because of the pandemic.  Once we knew we could get the vaccine and right after I found out you were going back to Rome, we booked ourselves immediately to visit Italy.  The fist place to visit.

Thinking about visiting Cappella Sistina and looking up Creazione di Adamo with you made my teas start coming down.   Let's pray, I really want to visit Italy.

@Julia M. Usher   Cookie Connection means a lot to us!   Finally Manu went back to Rome and many people were  waiting for her over there for years.   Long and long journey for her and them till now.  Wherever we are, we can talk about cookies❤️

Yeees, Gabi @Icingsugarkeks  it was so much fun to imagine how Manu reacts while I planned  how to show the story on this cookie.

Such a lovely gift for Manu @Manu biscotti decorati's birthday (Happy Birthday Manu!). I love how you incorporated Manu's tutorial into your cookie design Ryoko . Super clever and beautifully done. I agree with you that Michelangelo won't mind your minor interpretation of his Sistine Chapel ceiling. If you've never had the chance to see it, I hope you will someday have that opportunity!! It's indeed a masterpiece as you already mentioned.

Your daisy flower petals (royal icing transfers) are the perfect touch to bring this cookie together. As always, your designs are well thought out and and designed with great detail. Love it my dear cookie friend ❤️❤️❤️ Hugs...
