Graduation cookies are some of my favorite to decorate! First and foremost, credit for the cookie with the glasses and graduation cap goes to Jasmine of JazzyDelightsCookies who has a shop on Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/listing/8...cbf59dbd%3A809815571).

There are tons of decorated cookies with this theme but I found this particular cookie and knew it was perfect for what I wanted to do. I contacted Jasmine and she graciously gave me permission to use her design #jazzydelightscookies.

The note paper cookie that says "three smart cookies" is for my client whose 3 kids are all going to the same school in Dallas with different graduation dates. I included specific cookies for each of my client's 3 "kids" as requested.

These were lots of fun!!

This is such a great set Carol. Beautiful colors (the blue is spot on!) and wonderful whimsy.  I'm sure your clients were thrilled.  ❤️😘

Thank you so very much dear Lisa!! You are always beyond kind with your comments . Yes, my client was really, really happy with the results. That's always the most important thing.

These days I am finding it particularly difficult to be very creative in designing a fresh look to the most frequently requested special event cookies. Graduation cookies are a really good example of just this frustration. I truly felt that these cookie designs didn't quite hit that mark of originality. Ugh! Even though I loved the cookie with the face/glasses and graduation cap, it wasn't my design. It was adorable for the occasion and I didn't want to reject the idea. Jasmine was so sweet to give me permission to use her design.

I don't know if I'm alone in searching far and wide for inspiration in order to create fresh designs for special event cookies that I've done countless times before. It's frustrating when nothing seems to be hitting just right. Perhaps I just need to either take a break from the orders or step back from decorating for a little while. Do you run into this? If so, what do you do? Many hugs to you!!! ❤️❤️

This is such a fun and awesome set, dear Carol!!! I love the deep red and blue you archived! And that smart cookie with glasses is hilarious!! Lovely set!👏👏♥️

Thanks so very much dear Heather @Heather Bruce Sosa !! I really appreciate your sweet comment! I'm currently working on some designs for the Challenge #41 . Yay!! It's going pretty well overall. However, my creative juices aren't exactly flowing right now... Hopefully, some inspiration will strike soon. LOL Take care my dear friend. Hugs...❤️❤️

These look wonderful, Carol. Your font work is really well done.

You are always so very kind in your comments Christine @Sweet Prodigy!! Thank you. I've been practicing writing on cookies a lot lately!! It seems like almost every client wants personalized messages on their cookies. This has forced me to rise to the challenge as writing has never been a strength of mine!! I confess to using a pico as an aid. It is becoming easier to use the projector to create these messages so they look a little bit more professional which is important!!

I'm working on the #41 challenge right now. Yay! It's a fun one for sure and I'm finding it to be particularly challenging (a good thing). I hope you're doing well my dear friend ❤️❤️

Such a beautiful set! Love the smart cookie

Thanks so much Sylvia @sylviawilson!! You're so kind to comment. It really means a lot to me my dear friend . I hope you're doing well. Hugs...❤️❤️

I do know what you mean about becoming tired and limited by cookies for specific events.  Male birthdays and Father's Day are particular challenges for me.  I have found though that people enjoy and appreciate them even when I am not terribly pleased with the work.  It shows that we are usually our own worst critics.  And just because we have seen or done something a number of times doesn't mean everyone has.  What I try and do if I am feeling uninspired or too bored by an idea is play with color, background or embellishments if possible.  (though sometimes I overdo it!)  You use such beautiful colors and do such a nice job with stenciling - and your penmanship is impressive!  Those are the things you can always play around with if you're feeling fatigued.  Regardless, I know your recipients will be in awe!  Hugs right back at you!😘

That's a good idea to play around with color. I am absolutely the worst self-critic EVER!!! I'm so hard on myself, Lisa, and always have been. I start to think things like "why did I ever start doing this, I'm not good enough, creative enough and on and on".  Of course that's not exactly productive thinking. I hope you're planning to be on ZOOM this weekend!!! I'd love to see and meet you "in person". Take care my dear cookie friend and thank you for your kind encouragement!!! ❤️

Oh how sweet of you to comment my dear friend @Kanch J!! I really appreciate your kind words ❤️❤️. Stay safe and well. Hugs...

Oh Carol, as always a dream for the eyes !!! Every single cookie is a work of art in itself and how you arranged the cookies with the certificate in the background - simply perfect !!! Soooooo absolutely beautiful my dear cookie friend!!! @Cookies Fantastique ❤️😘

I think projectors are great for getting the work done quicker and more accurately—the same way the stencils help speed things along.

I'm glad that you are working on the challenge. It's really just making three types of flowers using two types of media, and then arranging them nicely.  ❤️

I know exactly what you mean. But keep trying your best to keep those negative voices at bay. They don’t speak the truth!  Sadly, I won’t be able to make this zoom call. But I am hoping to one of these days...😘😘❤️

Thank you dear Gabi for you thoughtful comment @Icingsugarkeks!! I appreciate your kindness and words of encouragement. Just hearing from you makes my day brighter sweet friend ❤️.

You're a "voice" that I needed to hear today dear Lisa @LisaF!! I'm so bummed that you aren't available for this week's ZOOM chat...another time my dear ❤️. I will miss seeing you though. Thank you again for your kindnesses ❤️❤️

Oh, I'm so glad you replied Christine!! @Sweet Prodigy. I guess a re-read of the challenge rules is necessary here as I was thinking that only 2 varieties of flowers were needed to meet the criteria set. Oops! I'm off to read the details a bit more carefully....thank you sweet friend ❤️❤️
