Practice Bakes Perfect Challenge #43

My goal was to make a cozy gingerbread Christmas space.  I used several different techniques to create this. I used poured isomalt for the windows and flame, wet on wet icing on the carpet and needle point icing for the picture on the walls.  The bows around the ceiling were inspired by Julia Usher's Christmas mantle scene.  The entire thing is edible except for the lights in the sconces and the board it is built on.

Julie, Please don't forget about rule #2, which says that "2020" needs to be on the piece somewhere (in a thoughtful/purposeful way). Forgive me, but I don't see it. If it's there, please point it out. If it's not, you have two options: (1) add it and re-upload or reattach a new photo, or (2) keep this photo as is, but recognize that it can't be eligible for the prizes or the Spotlight if not in compliance with all rules. Thanks!

Hi, There is actually a little 2020 plaque on the mantle under the wreath.  If you look at the photo of just the mantle you can see it more clearly.  The lighting wasn't great when I took the picture. I will try to capture it more clearly. Thanks!

Julie! This is amazing! Is there any chance you have more photos on the construction of your furniture? Regardless, it is spectacular

Thank you for your kind words.  Unfortunately I didn't take any process pictures.  As far as the furniture goes I looked at about a million pictures of chairs and tried to break them down into simple shapes. (2 sides and back and seat) I then cut the shapes out of gingerbread baked them, sanded them with my Dremel and then covered them with fondant.

Julie, I can’t find the right words to ponder your amazing entry!!! There are so many minute details all over the place! Each piece seems to have loads of them! And even a little 🐁 holding a ♥️ sign in front of his house in the grandfather clock! Nothing was left out. Really spectacular! How long did you take to complete it?
2020 Masterpiece 🏆 👏👏👏🥰

Wow, you have made my day with your kindness! I can't say exactly how long I worked on it. I started in the beginning of November and worked on it a few hours a day since then.  It was truly a labor of love.

Absolutely beautiful!!! I just love the warm feeling of Christmas I get when I look at this cookie art masterpiece @JulieCZ. Such detailed work in a gorgeous tableau. Your work is so well done with pictures and plates on the walls and a grandfather clock that adorns the space. Incredible!!! Love it ❤️❤️❤️. I just read how long it took you to complete this project. WOW!! A labor of love for sure. I so look forward to seeing what creative ideas you have for us next time! Hugs...
