I adore this! I LOVE all of the very careful shading that you did with all of your many shades of pink. And the detail in the flowers is gorgeous. This is just a really, really beautiful cookie!

Thanks so much ! 🥰

Tina, I give you so much repect and credit for trying something out of your own comfort zone!! And you work is beautiful as I've already said . Admittedly, I've not even attempted to do anything for this particular challenge because I can't "paint" on paper, cookies, anything...I can do some shading but sadly, that's about it.

It's not for a lack of trying...I've spent many hours watching tutorials and listening to my incredibly talented hubby who does oil painting so beautifully. Thank you so much for including the tutorial link...I'll definitely watch it

Oh, I just love this Tina @Tina at Sugar Wishes. You did an amazing job! I can't believe you're "hardly a painter" (as you put it).

I'm no royal icing expert (fondant is my medium), but if you ever decide to go the watercolor route, diluting your gel color/paint with a clear alcohol rather than water should prevent your RI from melting ❤️

I actually begun my journey with fondant and deep down is my true love. I’m glad you use it because I think it’s coming back - at least in Greece 98% of cookies are done in fondant.

I could have soak the colors in extract or alcohol to get lighter paler colors but actually I didn’t take that step.  The idea is keeping the brush as dry as possible and with the pale color I wasn’t getting the pop I wanted.

I used the video as a guide. Painting is not my thing because I have no patience for things I’m not good at.  🤣

I love him, Tina! Thanks for pointing out the tutorial too!

If I have learned anything from you it has been to give credit where it’s due and acknowledgment of sources. But that , of course, is just one of many things! Thank you.

Sadly it’s not being done across the board at all levels.

So true - sadly.
