I’m so grateful that I became used to β€œpivoting” last year.  They have made some changes at my local soup kitchen and I’m back to doing 150 cookies each week.  Bless those royal icing transfers!  The entire wreath is a transfer. It’s a pretty thick transfer so I didn’t want to cover the cookie with more icing.  I used a cinnamon sugar dough to give a darker background.  I tried a variety of sprays and luster applications to the top of the cookie but ultimately decided to keep it plain.  I am not displeased with the result.

I love royal icing transfers (sometimes I make them for no particular reason).  Your wreath cookies look great . . . and delicious!

Thank you Christine. I will say, I’ve become a bit smitten with transfers. When the icing is just right, and it all goes according to plan, it’s quite a therapeutic way to decompress or recharge.😁

Thank you for your kind words Heather. I’ve learned so much about scheduling and planning ahead- it enables me to enjoy the process so much. I feel quit reinvigorated!❀️πŸͺ😁
