Pretty cool news - you all ordered enough Arkon mounts in the last couple of weeks since I became an Arkon affiliate to catapult me to Arkon A-list status! Thank you! What does this mean? It's not really about me; it's about us all working together as a community to support a great brand (Arkon) and also this site. Every cent I earn by referring you to Arkon will go toward supporting the monthly costs of this site and allowing me to continue to bring you the great content that you find here each day. With COVID taking a toll on most of my revenue sources this year, believe me, every cent counts - so, again, THANK YOU!

Arkon_Badge_A_list_Influencer_Julia_Usher_Hi_Rez CROPPEDIf you missed my earlier announcements, you too can get 20% off any mount or other product on the Arkon site simply by using my special "JuliaMUsher" coupon code at checkout. These mounts (especially their new Cookie Decorating Mount) are great tools for video-making, holding pico projectors, looking good on Zoom calls , etc. etc. So, once again, I encourage you to take advantage of this great deal, and to help out this site in the process. Enjoy!

My only concern about the Akron Mount is it looks like it’s big and hard to store.  I’d like to hear what people who own Akron mounts.

No need to be concerned! I actually own a few of their products (I wouldn't promote them if I didn't have experience with them). I have the Remarkable 3-in-1 bundle (with one of the larger mounts for iPhone and tablet); it collapses/folds down to a very compact 18" x 7" x 7" size when not in use. So not at all hard to store. I also have a much smaller cell phone-only mount and some of their small clip-on ring lights. I use the latter two things for my one-on-one mentoring sessions, Zoom calls, etc. I've used the bigger mount for live videos and increasingly for my own video shoots. They assemble easily and are quite sturdy too (so no fear of things falling off or tipping over mid-shoot).

18x7x7 doesn’t sound small to me.  I have so much cookie stuff I’m running out of space.

Well, it's small to me (for what it is) and I have a ton of cookie stuff! But small to one is not small to another, so I'll leave it at that.

You have a whole room for your decorating.  Hubby tolerates my decorating hobby.  He was thrilled when I got a pico to replace my kopykake.

Whatever works for you . . . if it doesn't work, it doesn't. I'm not trying to do any hard sell here; I just answered your question with data and my personal opinion.

I have the one that only holds a cell phone only.  It does fold in half so really doesn't take up that much space.
